October Update

We launched our app to the App Store and Play Store to an early signup list of 300 users in July. Since launch, we're proud to say that we've onboarded over 1,300 "Townees" and 108 businesses!

As a reminder, for local Townees, our app allows them to connect with their favorite local establishments for instant access to cool things like weekly specials📅, events🎉, food truck locations📍, flash deals⚡, and (best of all) Townee influencer & referral deals🎁.

Townee deals within the app allow users to collaborate with those same businesses for exclusive access to deals for simply sharing & referring friends. Our belief is that everyone has influence. We simply empower locals to put it to use.

For local businesses, our belief is that a business' best customers & biggest advocates are on the sidelines waiting to help grow their business. Townee brings the two closer to provide instant communication, tons of referrals, social media advocacy, reviews, and more.

Since launch, we've learned a lot. Our biggest lesson came after realizing that our current userbase included over 100 Indiana University athletes EAGER to partner & collaborate with nearby local businesses. With this in mind, we're diving head first into this opportunity given the recent NCAA name, image and likeness rule change.

We recently announced funding from Elevate Venture's Community Ideation Fund here. These funds are currently being used to market ourselves to local businesses' and onboard Hoosier Athletes in order to position ourselves as the #1 resource connecting NCAA athletes & nearby local brands.
